About Us
The Boston College Women's Club Lacrosse Team competes in the New England Women's Lacrosse League. The team competes at a high level of competition within the northeast region and is also nationally recognized every season. Tryouts are held in October and preseason workouts and indoor practices (1-2 times a week) begin after winter break. The season begins, weather permitting, in March. The team practices for about two hours 1-3 times a week in addition to 1-2 games a week. The team also competes in one out-of-state tournament each season. In previous seasons, the team has traveled to Austin, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and Baltimore, Maryland. The goal each season is to qualify for the national tournament that takes place in early May. In order to do so, the team must finish first or second in the league to qualify for the league tournament. The winner of this tournament receives an automatic bid to the national tournament. In addition to its competitiveness, the team fosters a learning and supportive environment for student athletes. Not only does the team establish team chemistry on the field, but also creates relationships that last beyond college.
